It'll be interesting to see how the new code works out, of course Shawn will have to adjust to that but apparently it's well suited to her style

i've read from so called "experts", that shawn might struggle. and by experts i mean people who have done gymnastics and it's their life.

we shall see. i think DWTS could help her flexibility and artistry. then she would have no problem under the new code, to which i have no idea what changes have been made. i get the impression they are making an emphasis on artistry and the like. but we will see!!

Flexibility?!? Shocked

I don't think Shawn can get anymore of that lol. Her legs are way too big to be able to do the kinda things the Rythmic gymnasts do lol.

Gahh i hope it doesnt turn into rythmic...i hated that. I think its more enjoyable when the gymnast is very bouncy and powerful like shawn is. It just provides a better watch.

I was talking about how they can like bend backwards or forwards and have their legs in a complete circle around their body lol. I don't think Shawn could do that seeing how muscular she is.

I caught like 10 minutes of the rhytmic gymnastics and I didn't find it as fun

rhythmic gymnastics is pretty crazy seeing how they are so flexible and whatnot. not something i'd watch religiously, but it was cool. i still prefer artistic gym.

I liked the team rythmic just cause it looks like it would take alot of cordination to pull that kinda thing off but otherwise its not that interesting.

Thats what i mean...it just was fun for a little while and then got boring watching the same thing. With artistic gymnastics, everything is always new.

i gotcha, it's interesting how everyone has different skill sets and routines. and there are different apparatuses. i didnt watch too much rhythmic, i only saw a floor routine. is that the only apparatus?

They do everything on the floor, but they use ribbons and battons and something else for their 4 routines.

One of them used a little soccer ball...was pretty wierd.

lol I don't remember seeing the soccer ball but I remember the ribbon and I think one girl started tumbling around with a baton

Yeah, they would throw it up in the air and do all sorts of flips and then catch it in a really weird flex position
