Why does Shawn.........

...............always lift her left eyebrow when she's having a picture taken? She only seems to do it when posing, candid pics don't show it?

hmm i've never noticed that.

it's probably just the mood. when almost anyone takes a posing picture, they're usually stiff or smile differently where as when it's just like a random person with a camera, it's either they don't notice it and are relaxed, or when you're with friends are with you in a pic you're more relaxed. just my theory

That sounds right, most people have a natural smile when taking pictures with friends or family, but when posing for a picture its a stiff non natural smile.

hmm well it doesn't look like she is really raising her left eyebrow, if she is then shes doing the same with the right.

Nope, left is defo higher than right.

Well lol, I asked my mom and a friend who couldn't care either way and they seem to think its just the way shes facing and how she has her hair over the right one that makes the left eyebrow look higher lol.

I lift my eyebrows when I have to be in any pictures, I don't know why I do it but I do lol

When I have a picture taken of me I really have to force the smile.

Well we have something else in common with Shawn now. I have to force the smile too, my natural smile is stupid and my posing smile isn't that noticeable so I have to go for somewhere in the middle

I just hate pictures lol, I havn't really posed for one in like 3 years lol. I can't seem to be able to even force my natural smile so I normally go with somewhere in between also lol.

I have to go for a passport picture soon, that's going to be scary but at least you're not allowed to smile on them so I can just sit there looking grumpy

I think it varies, in some pics she lifts both eyebrows but I agree that that's when she is posing for pictures. When you see pictures of her at her homecoming on stage and on the podium at the Olympics she doesn't have any eyebrow raised

Yea, shes just naturally very happy or nervous at things like that and doesn't have a camera right in her face, where as posing for a picture you know whats coming.

I'll have a look at some of her posed pictures and see what the eyebrow does lol

I've looked at a few but I can't really tell. I think Shawn's eyebrows might be slightly high so it might look like she's raising them

I am glad someone said something about this. This was the first thing I noticed about her, was that eyebrow! LOL. It was what made me think originally that she looked kinda goofy. Just look at the picture on top of the forum. Her left eyebrow is slightly higher then her right one. Even facebook noticed it. When you used to be able to superpoke someone, by throwing Shawn at them, the cartoon picture of her had her left eyebrow higher up, much more exaggerated of course. I don't notice it as much anymore, unless it's pointed out and I mostly notice it when her hair is pulled back.

Well, I went at looked at a couple hundred of my pics of her, looking through them all would take several hours lol, and it seems to be that when she does a certain facial expression or just the way she smiles that makes her left eyebrow do that.

I haven't noticed that. But then again I haven't been looking for little things like that. Lol, but it may just be the way that she smiles, because, like I've read what a few of you have said, that it's just what some people do when a camera is around. I know I do that sometimes. My picture smile is totally different from my real one.

Well for her it just seems to be the way she naturally smiles, cause there are some pics she posed for that arn't like that and some pics of her normally that she isn't smiling in where its not that way either.

It does seem to be when she's smiling and definately obvious when her hair is back. Still cute though
