Re: London 2009!
I don't think she will but I wish she did because it'd be cool for her to be over here. I think she'd need at least 6 months intense training to prepare for it and since she's concentrating on school I doubt that will be possible.

Lol yeah maybe, might have to wait until 2012 though. She did say that London is her favourite city to visit so who knows?

Oh, I'll definitely be there London is only 2 hours' drive away from my home, might stay in a hotel for a bit to catch as much of the competition as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if she made a guest appearance at that

Re: London 2009!
you got to think though. missed semester + return to school = enough homework to make your brain explode that equation might decrease the chances

yeah, I'm thinking of staying with my brother in London so I can get to see as much as possible. I'm hoping to go see the gymnastics, the 100m final and some of the swimming finals but I'll see how much tickets are first

Re: London 2009!
I actually have two friends here who are probably going to be in the Olympics for swimming at one point or another. They are incredible to watch.
Re: London 2009!
nice, question is can they beat Phelps?
I think tickets will be priced depending on the day. I mean 100m finals night tickets are going to be expensive but I'd pay a lot to see Bolt run but things like archery qualifiers will be very cheap. I'm definately going to watch the marathons and the triathlon seeing as they're free and will be cool to watch

Re: London 2009!
lol Boris Johnson, Mayor of London and an absolute legend/idiot depending on whether you like crazy ideas, gave the best speech ever at the Olympics. He said about how ping pong was an english game called whiff waff and then went on to say "whiff waff is coming home". And yes we are putting this guy in charge of creating a spectacle that is meant to dazzle the world and I for one can't wait, hopefully we'll have the most ridiculous opening ceremony ever

Re: London 2009!
That was unreal, I'm sort of regretting us hosting this Olympics because it won't be as good as Beijing but hopefully we'll do a decent job and let the athletes make the games memorable

Re: London 2009!
lol, on a show over here called Top Gear (you guys might of heard of it) they had the Mayor on and they said we should just go crazy and have like cars doing donuts around Leona Lewis while she sings and then have explosions going off everywhere with cars going through hoops of fire and jets flying overhead. It'd last 5 minutes but what a 5 minutes

Re: London 2009!
Yeah, apparently it's going to be a lot greener than Beijing's Olympics but I personally don't want that. This might be our one chance to hold the games for 50 years or so and to have it cut back by eco-friendlyness would be a bad idea. I mean, we can go green for the rest of our lives. Just let us have 2 hours of madness at the opening ceremony.
Also, 50% of tickets are going to be under £20 which is about $30, which is really cheap imo especially if it's for big events like the athletics, swimming and gymnastics
