I hope she doesn't feel like that though because just getting on the Olympic team is an amazing acheivement and hardly anyone will get that far in their career so her medal should represent all her hard work even though she got injured

I think it was from a tumbling run on the floor that or the vault.

Yeah, working that hard for that long definitely deserves that reward. Was she going to compete in any of the individual competitions and would she likely have won anything?

i could see her qualifying for vault. i'm not too familiar with how she stacks up in the other events

Shes an AA and shes good on all 4 apparatus she was going to be doing the vault,bar and floor for the team before she got hurt if I remember right.

I'd place her behind Shawn and Nastia in the list of the USA's best gymnasts. In the interviews that I've seen Sam do she seems really nice and funny

As far as order of skill I would put Sam 4th just behind Chellsie, she did amazing this last year.

Yep, but shes kinda been in Shawns shadow the past several years. Seeing how they have been competing against each other since the junior devision lol.

Yea, but they are really good friends and Sam doesn't seem to have ever minded placing 2nd or 3rd behind Shawn.

I think Bridget Sloan deserves more credit than she gets, she got basically no press after the Olympics and went straight back into the gym but she was part of that silver winning team too

I think the fact that she only did one event hurt her in that area.

Yes, and she did really good too till the floor where everyone made a mistake. But her routines arn't as high a difficulty as everyone else on the team which is why they get more of the credit.

Urmm well I wasn't able to watch the TF but I know Bridget did Vault she went first and then She did floor right after Alicia and she did beam she was first up on that too so I know she did 3/4 for sure.

I used to watch the Olympics pretty much all day when it was on and I remember seeing the US team perform and just being like Surprised

they're still smiling even though they got silver! and then of course Shawn was the jewel in the crown
