They definitely are really good I got to see Kupet put up 2 perfect 10s against I think it was Alabama.

Hmm...i thought college was no where near as good as the elite and pro guys...perfect 10 is pretty darn good.

college isn't at the same level as elite. it's also scored different, because elite no longer uses the ten system.

basically, you wont see shawn johnson style moves being thrown in college competition

when are you going to see the Gym Dogs? And yea the elite routines are scored with a perfect 10 type execution thing and then a start value where as college is i think a 9.5 start and then goes from there. The start value can change same as elite if you don't complete a set of skills or make a mistake during a skill.

i know that kupets is a senior so chances are i won't be able to see her. i was there over winter break, but didn't get to catch a meet. but i'll most likely be at pretty much every meet next year that i can get to

I still think the 10 point scale worked better, this whole start value thing throws me off. Also i think it leads to less fair and accurate judging, take the vault ef's as an example

Yea, you won't see Kupet or any of the other great seniors that I can't name atm lol, unless she becomes a coach not a judge lol or something which I very much doubt. I doubt I will be seeing any college gymnastics in person, but I guess watching it in HD on a nice plasma screen works for now lol.

Wasnt she going to make the US team and then hurt her foot? I remember seeing it in some video.

Yeah, she definately got injured. Wasn't she the one who got injured at Olympic Trials or was that Ivana?

I think that might have been her because she was at "the ranch" with a big boot on her foot.

I think with if everyone had stayed healthy then USA would have won gold in the team final because with only 5 healthy gymnasts in the team the pressure is on everyone to perform

i think we wouldve won gold too. especially if sam didn't get injured right before finals. that killed me!

That made me sad...like I said i'm a big Sam fan too and I was go glad she made the team...but poor Chellsie too just off a huge injury no thought she would do anywhere near as good as she did and then she hurts her ankle too...

Yeah, then we would have the two powerful ones an nastia with her graceful routines. China all seemed to have people in the middle, not very powerful but pretty graceful.

Yea, they had entertaining floor routines, makes me think of the floor routine by the opener on floor for the Gym Dogs. She does the best floor routine i've ever seen.

Ah I love Sam, she's awesome and then Chelsie got injured slightly on bars I think but she performed through the pain

She did perform that flawless bar routine in the TF, atleast she was able to help out.

i was gutted for chelsie when she fell during her UB routine in qualifying... it meant she couldnt go to event finals. but she looked past it and did her best for the team, what a champ

Yeah, i was glad that she could actually contribute, i dont know if sam kinda feels like she doesnt deserve her medal since she didnt perform or what...

^^ i would feel that way, so i wouldnt be surprised if she did. she couldve really helped the US in team finals, i still cannot get over her injury. during practice, right before. aghh

How exactly did she get injured? I never really figured that out.
