Do you Think Shawn will go to London this year?
Re: London 2009!
Do you mean tickets are going to be 50% less than usual or 50% of the tickets sold are going to be $30 while the rest is the usual price?
Re: London 2009!
I think it means that 50% will be sold at less than $30 and 50% will be more than $30

Re: London 2009!
That's the plan but it'll depend on how much money I have and how much tickets are. Apparently they only think they're going to sell 82% of tickets for the Olympics

Re: London 2009!
Good plan Godfather. If the gymnastics prices are around $30 then it'd be weird because tickets to the Worlds in the very same arena cost around about $65

Re: London 2009!
Me neither, all I've heard of is Chicago. But when we got the Olympics everyone thought Paris was going to get it until we got some of our sports stars onto the bid so if Chicago can do that and prove that they'll use the stadiums after the Olympics have gone then they'll get it

Re: London 2009!
That'd be good. What won us the bid is that we've got a lot of world class stadiums and arenas and a transport network that with some improvements could handle the amount of people going to the games and the fact that the main stadium is going to be used by the local community, sports clubs and for music events

Re: London 2009!
I hope Chicago get's it. That's a lot closer than London. But I'll be 24 by then and gymnastics won't be nearly as awesome by then

True, but it's the only event worth while. One of my friends is training for the marathon. He thinks he could make it and he says that he'll take a few of us with him so if he does go, it'd be totally wicked!

I went along to train for handball (apparently it's really popular in Europe) but it wasn't for me

Re: London 2009!
I'd love to be good enough to compete at any Olympic sport. I'm quite a good tennis player but I started playing way too late to turn pro
