The Shawn Johnson Music Thread Extravaganza!!!!!

Hear ye, hear ye one and all. Let's talk some music as it relates to our little Miss Shawn. What kind of music makes you think of her? What kind of music is she listening too? Do you have playlists that have to do with Shawn? What lyrics do you like and why do you connect them with Shawn?? Come on this is wide open so have some fun with it. Oh and no need to limit it.....I have 5,654.3 songs on my Ipod that make me think of Shawn or something related to her........and I intend to talk about each and every one of them....in great and excruciating detail.

Now on to the first one....this band hails from Des Moines, Iowa (coincedentally Shawn Johnson's hometown....kind of....she is really from west Des Moines but that is neither here....actual it's over there.....wait, you can't see me pointing west....anyways I digress). The band is Slipknot and the song is Vermillion, Pt. 2

Alrighty...so to me, this song is about having a crush on someone and you can't do anything about it....(BTW how people interpret a song is there own thoughts, it has nothing to do with what the actual meaning of the song is or was intended to be and if you talk to most good song writers or musicians, that is what they intend you to do). Especially the whole she isn't real thing. Until you meet someone and just see them on TV, it isn't real and it is a myth.....so anyways this song doesn't directly make me think of her, just some of my feelings, good or bad.

The main song that makes me think of Shawn at the moment is Hey There Delilah by The Plain White T's, kinda corny song but I like it and it reflects the fact that Shawn is long way away.

Great, now I'm sitting here watching "Chuck" and singing "Hey there Delilah"....I can't get it out of my head!!!!!

A song about a Olympic athlete btw. Though I'm not sure if she made it out of the trials......

Oh and also Miracle by Tom Baxter reminds me of Shawn because it was played during a montage at the end of the Olympics by the BBC.
