Makes me wish I had kept doing track....lol. I used to run a 11.21 on the 100m its about 11.78 or so now. I go for a 2 mile jog in the morning for more leg endurance than speed.

That's impressive. I went for morning jogs for about 2 years but then focused on exams so I need to get into shape now lol

Re: London 2009!
lol I put most of my time into Either reading or some type of sports. I've never been much into school *sigh* I should though, but for me its just so boring and easy haha. I was home school from 3rd grade till my freshman year and once I started high school I pretty much knew everything they have me do.

Re: London 2009!
I wouldn't call it smart...our school programs just suck haha, and i've had all the stuff they require drilled into my head over hours and hours of school then had it done again once I went to high school.

Incidentally, I was at the arena where they're holding the Worlds this year and they were advertising it like crazy. Every other billboard was saying "World Artistic Gymnastics Championships - Tickets on Sale Now!" but they didn't feature any pictures of the US gymnasts interestingly enough

London as her 'favorite' city to visit , not 'favourite' ROFL...
Scrawney wrote:Lol yeah maybe, might have to wait until 2012 though. She did say that London is her favourite city to visit so who knows?
hmmm I would guess Shawn would say (since she is from Iowa):
that London is her 'favorite' city to visit , not 'favourite'
(LOL... I have worked with Australians before so I know we are two lands separated by a common language

no Australians here...
hey I just said I work with Australians... I don't think we have had any on the forum yet.... just pointing out that Shawn would never say London is her favourite city [to visit] but might say it was her favorite city [to visit] if you catch the subtly of it all...
I wonder if maybe Michael Phelps could put a wig on and compete in Shawn's place in London in 2009 (unless you don't think he will be welcomed..

We loved him over here during Beijing but now we're less sure. Hopefully Shawn will come to the Olympics but if she doesn't then Phelps stepping in would be priceless to see

I wish she was going to be there for London but the chances she will be are Slim to none
She hasnt began training yet she has yet to have a conversation with Chow about it...
Shes now doing Dancing with the Stars... I seriously think theres no way...
I now dont think she will ever come back I think this dancing with the stars things is her way of sneeking out the back door.

Back to the last post, i highly doubt that she's going to sneak out of gymnastics, but she sure found a way to get herself out of school and cyber school

It's pretty cool, London's really embracing sport at the moment, the Worlds coming here are just an example, and the Olympic Stadium is taking shape but I'm thinking that Chicago will get the 2016 games

Yeah, seeing top class sporting events is just incredible. I've only seen a few but every time the people involved have done stuff that just blows you away

If it was in Chicago, I'd have to drive over to see them in person! It's totally different watching things in person than on TV.

i would have to fly, unless i try to get a job in chi town somehow and end up living there, with the olympics most likely being my main motivation to do so
