I usually play one game for about 2 weeks before I either finish it or get bored. Longest time I've spent playing one game was GTA: Vice City where I spent 40 hours on it and actually got ill from it (well a combination of the game and some bad food) but it was a great game

WOW! I'm a little bit embarrassed to say this but I've gone through 4 phases of gaming where I play a game for around 3 years.

Super Smash Brothers Melee - 3 years
Halo 2 - 2-3 years, never owned it or an XBox but played it all the time at my friends house (I was over there basically every day to hang out with him).
Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3 - Around 3 years (but I still play it some times, mostly Rock Band now).
StepMania & FlashFlashRevolution - Around 3 years (I no longer really play FFR, but I still play StepMania, my best game by the way, constantly.)

I'm not really including the old school stuff like Donkey Kong or Super Mario for SNES or even the old old game boy where I played Kirby back in the day since I don't remember how long I played those games. I even played Atari for quite some time.

Nice games there Godfather, I played nhl 2000 for about a year as the Philadelphia Flyers and then FIFA 96 I played for ages as a kid so those would probably be my longest time spent playing a single game. Usually I'll replay some games if I get nostalgic about them lol

Yep. Very Happy Still do. Once in a while I pop in Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart (although the one's for N64 and SNES are the best) Double Dash, or Animal Crossing (they desperately need to make an second one). I mostly play PC stuff now, mainly StepMania.

Me and my friend found his old Snes the other day, complete with 10 or so games. It was a blast but not as good as when me and me other friend found his old Dreamcast and stayed up all night playing Shenmue

First console I played was a Sega Master System when I was 3, I managed to finish Sonic 1 after about 4 months or so but my sister could never get past level 3 lol

I remember getting stuck on final fantasy VII for days before finally beating this boss and the same thing happened on final fantasy X when you have to beat this weird machine thing but eventually I persevered and won. Makes you wonder why I'm playing through final fantasy XII, I'm only going to get stuck lol

I don't think I have ever gotten really "stuck" on a game before. If I can't get past a level or something I just cheat. Razz A little variable editing, hex editing, or just full-on code injection. I usually go back and play it again after I've beaten it with cheating just make sure that I beat it fairly.

Lol, I either cheat or go select an easier difficulty but on some games you can't do either so you just have to persevere... or start again

Yeah. Or get a friend who's crazy good at the game and have him show you how to do it, or do beat it himself. Very Happy

That's a good idea but I'm regarded as the best at games amongst my friends because we stayed over my friend's house a couple of years back and played TimeSplitters 2, Matt Hoffman's BMX and Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (weird selection I know). I'd never played TimeSplitters before or Matt Hoffman and we had like a tournament/winner stays on type of thing going on so if you beat everyone then you win the round, and it was out of 3 seeing as we were playing 3 games.

So anyway we start playing TimeSplitters on team deathmatch and once I get into the game I just start getting fluke headshots and eventually I stay on and beat everyone. Then we come to Matt Hoffman and I really have no idea what I'm doing so I just press random buttons while my friends go for big tricks but fall off and then in the final match, me and my friend are tied on like 15,000 points with a minute to go and my friend hits this quite impressive move for 2,000 points so I think shoot lets go for it and hit a 12,000 point combo to win. They still don't believe me that I'd never played before lol
