Michael Phelps
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I love all this stuff happening to him. I really don't like him........mostly because I think other more deserving Olympians should get his endorsements and attention...not naming names or anything. Oh and the fact that he is just one big jerk!

Re: Michael Phelps
I think he's a great athlete and gave some great performances in Beijing but he doesn't seem like a nice guy. The story that came out this weekend proved that he needs to clean up his act

Re: Michael Phelps
I also did not know until this latest news, that he had received a DUI when he was underage. Which, I can understand people making mistakes, however he seems to have a pattern of them and of being a complete jerk. It seems like it was covered up for awhile, but maybe he is getting some backlash, because he was so overly covered. One of the gymnastics girls also got in trouble for drinking, I don't remember which one (Not Shawn or Nastia of course....) but you barely heard anything if at all about it.

Re: Michael Phelps
Really? Well he has got some secrets in his closet. In the article in the paper that exposed the story over here (the paper which my dad works for ) it said that he's been partying like that for a few months since the Olympics and that whenever he's a party he gets drinks for every single cute girl in the room so he's a bit of a predator. When the Olympics were on I thought he was a nice guy then I saw some vids of him and he was kinda arrogant.
The gymnast who got in trouble was Shayla Worley. She got kicked off the tour apparently because she went to bars with all the male gymnasts and they had to replace her with Sam, Bridget and Alicia depending on where the show was

So when Shawn goes to the Olympics over there, your dad is going to hook you up with meeting her, right? lol And you are going to have to invite me along!

Re: Michael Phelps
Haha, I'll see what I can do. My brothers wife used to work for someone who sponsored the Olympics but he resigned from his job because he didn't own up to a loan that he secured against his shares so there went my VIP pass lol

Re: Michael Phelps
LOL I've thought about volunteering for Chicago 2016, just in case Shawn has anything to do with it.

Lol if I could get involved with anything at the Olympics then that'd be fine by me but I'll probably just end up watching it

Re: Michael Phelps
I always thought Phelps was a pretty good guy. The pictures floating around just break my heart. I mean, he's the world's greatest athlete. It's just such a shame. But it could be worse. It could have been steroids or something to improve his performance and that could put his medals at risk. If anything, it just reduces his performance overall.

Re: Michael Phelps
I would be very hesitant to label him the world's greatest athlete, as so many have done. I think his sport is the only sport you could pull off what he did. I think there are much better athletes out there then him...IMHO.

Re: Michael Phelps
I think it's definately easier to win medals in the pool than on the track but that's not taking away from what he did at Beijing, that was an amazing acheivement

Re: Michael Phelps
I'll admit i'm stealing this from another site, but it is great:
The timing of everything, revealed in the NY Post, is rich:
1) US Swimming stands behind Phelps
2a) Kelloggs fires Phelps
...
2b) Kelloggs withdraws its financial support of US Swimming
3) One hour later, US Swimming suspends Phelps

I was wondering why they suddenly changed from supporting him to suspending him and now I know why

What's the problem with his 50 meter bong hit man. Shawn on Phelps "Athlete's like to have to fun too" but that is out of context .
