Yeah, I used to swim too but after a while I got bored of it and moved onto more physical sports like Karate and such.

Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
I never really got into playing ice hockey but I did play a ton of street hockey back in the day.

Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
lol except for the smashing into each other on the ice and trying to score with a puck and a stick, I guess they are the same thing.
isn't Worlds in London next year in 2009?

If she is going to "Worlds" , isn't that in London in 2009 ... I heard Nastia was planning on going .

Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
I don't think Shawn will be competing at '09 Worlds because she isn't in nearly the competitive shape she would need to be in, at least that is what she said in an interview.

Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
I'm from England, about a 50 minute train ride from London so I'm so excited she's coming to the Olympics. I was going to go anyway but now I have a specific event to buy tickets for. As for the reason tickets are going on sale so late, it's probably because we have such a bad record of getting stadiums and arenas built late that they probably want to make sure there'll actually be somewhere for the games to be held
I was going to get tickets for the worlds but I'm glad I didn't because she said she probably won't go so I can save that money up for the Olympics

Wow you're luckyI'm from England, about a 50 minute train ride from London
But I'm from Paris, so I think I'll be able to go to London for a few days.

Yeah , it's amazing to think that people from all over the world will be cramming into this tiny city, well more so than they usually do. I just hope that all the tickets won't be sold out, especially for the Gymnastics.

Oh God, it would be terrible.hope that all the tickets won't be sold out, especially for the Gymnastics.
Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
That would be but the place where the Gymnastics is going to be held is ffairly huge so hopefully there shouldn't be too much trouble getting tickets.

Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
I hope not, if I don't get my tickets I'll be crushed. Do any of you know if you can buy tickets for a whole event or do you have to buy it for each day of the event? I don't want to have to buy tons of tickets for each day, just one ticket that will get me in for every day that women's gymnastics is going on (or at least one ticket per gymnastics event).
Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
I'm sure when the time for the 2012 olympics comes closer, details about tickets will be explained.

Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
I would presume you can buy for a specific day, so we'll all have to find out when the women's all-around final is and head there I think there's going to be 7 million tickets available for the whole Olympics.

Re: SHE'S GOING TO LONDON!
Once someone gets word that tickets are on sale, just post an announcement in the Forum News category (if that's alright with you Nicole?).

That tiny city is the largest in Europe with a population of nearly 8 million and an area of 1500 square km.
Small by NY standards, yes, but not exactly tiny
