they said that it was due to a delay in the start signal that the gymnasts receive when time starts counting down. US gymnastics said that it unnerved alicia

Yeah, that beep at the 10 seconds left mark in their routines in my opinion was pretty stupid, i was surprised it didnt screw more people up

i remember rooting for shawn in the aa and being unhappy when nastia won. after watching the footage from competitions that year and the year before and seeing how nastia struggled to come back from an injury, i really respect her and am now happy she won. i still like shawn better though

Yeah, i mostly felt bad because shawn was crying afterwards, but at least she was happy about it in the long run Smile

she was disappointed. she had been heavily favored to win, so that probably didn't help at all

Yeah, i think she thought at first that she didnt fulfill the expectations people had for her but once she figured out otherwise she seemed pretty happy

yea, she came away with 4 medals, not toooo bad lol. that floor final was a bummer though, because just when you thought she had it, she didnt.

i did that for a competition. was on the usoc website and they had results up. it ruined it for me!! didn't really matter though, still nerve wracking to watch
