Website's Background

I am nearly complete the website's new background. I am also making it into a wallpaper for the site as well. I was going a completely opposite direction with it in terms of looks but the rendering that had to be done was nearly impossible. The photo of Shawn that I chose to use took me 6 hours to render out (and it still isn't that good of a rendering job). I took about an extra hour to read several tutorials on how to mask/render/cut out hair from a photo and none of them really worked. I had to use a mix of techniques to finally get something that looked half decent. I will post the finished product when I'm completely done with it but here is a look at what it looked like about an hour and a half ago (after I finished rendering the photo).

If the final product doesn't look good as a background I'm going to jump right on to doing a vectored version of a background (only using the render and text, and changing everything else).

I'm done. Nicole will put the background on the site when she gets on. I'm just going to back it more desktop wallpaper friendly before I post it as a wallpaper. I'm going to to add a border and do a couple of little text edits (and maybe a couple of lighting changes) to make it wallpaper friendly. I'm really not sure about the new background though. It could be nice as a background or it could look really bad. Just in case it does I'm going to start up on a little vector version.
