yeah but it's so much faster just to get it yourself

Re: back from the trip
how do you not see or hear the train coming? theres a track, you can tell exactly where to not stand...
also,
from what ive heard (and ive heard a bunch, not positive how true any of it is) sustained high G-force is what causes people problems. you experience up to 10 Gs just by jumping up and down but for a very brief moment.
(if that's true the Gs after a vault must be huge...) but anyway roller coasters are engineered to minimize the length of time high Gs are experienced, not necessarily the Gs themselves. i think the highest Gs on any coaster is actually around 6. (and that coaster is outside the US.)
im basically just ranting because i hate how the media blows everything out of proportion, including roller coaster-related injuries. they're so much safer than they get credit for.

farcemaster, i was in line for the mars ride at disney world. they had all these warnings and whatnot during the intro video about how they're not liable for any negatives effects caused by going on the ride. needless to say that i did not go on it.

Thats why hes such an idiot, he hopped the ride restricted area fence thats 6 feet tall that has warnings posted on it, and then he hopped a 4 foot danger zone fence that also had warnings posted every 10 feet. People are really dumb sometimes.

yea i'm near waldameer. Ravine Flyer 2 is good and bad. On the good side, it's a pretty smooth wooden roller coaster, on the bad side it's only 1:30

Re: back from the trip
its got some pretty serious banking on the turns, for a wooden coaster, which i enjoyed. plus the view of the lake from the top of the first hill is fantastic. it is a little on the short side though.
