To each their own. Basically, 'to each' person, they are entitled to 'their own' opinion.

I wish I could just find a bigger pic of White Knights avatar. The one I found is rather small.

Hopefully he'll post a bigger size version soon. I really want it too because it looks so cool

Re: Shawn's car?
As environmentally unfriendly they may be, I love 4x4s like Shawn's Land Rover. My dad drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee that looks a bit like this:
Trying to bully my mum into getting a BMW 1 Series (yeah the one that looks like half a BMW ), a Mercedes C or E Class or an Audi A4 but we haven't found a decent priced used one yet

I don't like all 4x4s but I really like the Land Rovers and Range Rovers. We've always had saloon cars: at the moment we've got a Ford Mondeo that is pretty practical and I've got a Citroen Saxo but I really want the Fiat 500 even though it'd make me look really feminine

BMWs, Mercedes and Audis are expensive.
My dad drives an Acura TL-S which looks like this, except ours is white:
I love driving it. It handles so incredibly well.

Re: Shawn's car?
Japanese cars are the way to go.
Why only 286 bhp from 3.5 litres though? Must be quite heavy too, as it's only specced at 5.5s to 60mph, although the max is 150mph, which isn't too shabby. Enough to get your license taken off you, anyway
Mine's a 2 litre flat four turbo with awd, and since I had it remapped it's been timed consistently at around 4.5s to 60mph, and has pulled over 160mph on a piece of (cough) private road (cough), which was 5500rpm in 5th. When it ran out of clock, (the speedo only goes up to 160mph), I ran out of bottle, but the damn thing was STILL pulling like a train.

Re: Shawn's car?
I don't normally drive it like that, it's not worth it in the UK, that'd be my license and a possible jail sentence if I did.
Can't afford the fuel at that rate anyway.............you can WATCH the fuel gauge going down if you give it some stick

Re: Shawn's car?
Okay, so this is where I told you guys that my car died. Haha turns out that it's been resurrected! We had it towed to the shop and they fixed it! And it wasn't anything major, too. Just all my spark-plugs were loose and it had bad wire so they replaced the wire and tightened the spark-plugs and now she runs great! Maybe I'll get a few more years outta this car yet.

Consumer Reports rags on Land Rover/Range Rovers... 1996 Jeep
I heard that the magazine/website Consumer Reports rags on Land Rover/Range Rovers...
I have owned Japanese cars (Toyotas) and had one get up to 260,000 miles once - then donated it (it was leaking fluids and squeaking like crazy - didn't feel like rebuilding the thing with new belts, hoses, pulleys, etc. ) but I heard the maintenance on Land Rovers isn't cheap but I guess the dealership that is leasing the car to Shawn for doing some events covers that aspect...
I heard her parents actually got her a used 1996 Jeep before the dealership and Shawn's agent got the Ranger Rover/Land Rover deal in the mix for her 16th birthday... her parents seem like practical people and I assume they help her stay grounded...

Her parents seem to know what's best for Shawn, unlike several parents of teen stars
